Nick Bryer, is the first of the four controllable party members in MOTHER: Rebound, making him the hack's main protagonist. He is Della and Mark Bryer's younger brother, and Carl's best friend. A majority of the weapons he can equip are different types of swords.

- Nick's alternative full name "Nicholas Næmu" is supposed to mean "Nickname"
- The reason why Nick can run is that he is afraid of confrontation.
- If you use the Don't Care option in the naming screen, possible names for Nick are Scott, Crono, Arse, Willy, Chad, and Mark
- Scott is likely a reference to the youtuber "Scott the Woz", as Nick appears slightly similar to how he presents himself on his channel.
- Crono is a direct reference to the protagonist of Chrono Trigger.
- Arse and Willy are likely a tribute to how some people name RPG characters vulgar or immature things.
